Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours The trailhead is located three miles north of Kings Beach, on highway 267, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. The trailhead is located on the left side of the road, if coming from Kings Beach, and is on the right side, if coming from Truckee or Northstar. There is a sign that says, "LAKE TAHOE SNOWMOBILE," as well as one that says "Mt. Watson Road." You will know that you are at the trailhead because it is located at Brockway Summit and is the highest elevation on highway 267. Once at the trailhead, it is downhill in either direction. There is also a sign which identifies the summit. At the trailhead there is an office, clothing and equipment trailer where customers sign waivers, pay, and get helmets (mandatory), clothing and gloves (if needed).
