San Diego County has an extensive transportation system that assists travelers in getting around easily with much accessibility to major attractions. Coaster is an integral part of that system.  The people are friendly and you'll usually find assistance in tackling buying tickets, finding the right ride and getting to where you want to go. One of the coastal options is Coaster, a train system that transports riders between coastal beaches starting at Carlsbad in the north to downtown San Diego Depot in the south. Free parking is offered at every Coaster station except except CSUSM, San Marcos Civic Center and Santa Fe Depot. Though the public transportation system advises that you must park at your own risk, you are allowed to park your car for up to two weeks for free in the lot (always check for updates to make sure.)
