There’s certainly been no high-rise construction madness in California during the past several decades, due largely to the realization that we’re in earthquake country and some very special engineering & architecture is required to withstand the shaking that could occur. Just recently when a fire broke out on the 11th floor of the Barrington Plaza in West Hollywood, upper floor apartment renters (25 story building) said it felt like 9-11 with all the smoke. The reality of such catastrophes is that there’s sometimes no easy way out when you live on the top. Nevertheless, California has its fair share of tall buildings. Pictured are the 10 tallest buildings in California. Here are photos of the very tallest buildings.
