25 Days Till Christmas – Grab Some Fun

Published on: November 30, 2012

For many Christmas is a big shopping spree. With all that spending comes a little guilt and lots of glee. For others who care less about presents, it’s about ice skating rinks, light displays, holiday songs and parades. This weekend there are over 100 tree lighting ceremonies (we’ve captured only a few), nearly the same amount of parades, dozens of Nutcracker ballets, and several lighted boat parades, as well.

In addition to the entertainment around every bend, you can also shop and get some fantastic savings. If you’re not an online shopping pro, just remember–before you give them your credit card number and agree to terms of service for purchases, do an Internet search for coupon codes. While it can be slightly time consuming to find the lowest priced offer, several websites have coupon codes that will help you save a few dollars or hundreds.  Fatwallet.com and retailmenot.com are several of the best sites overall, but if you’re not finding anything, don’t quit looking just yet.  Go back to the search engine such as Google or Bing and type in the words “coupon code”. Investigate what kind of coupons are available by making a few cautious clicks.  It’s surprising how many people don’t even think to look for coupon codes before “checking out” and completing transactions for purchases. This time of year you have to be vigilant and keep looking for discounts. When you save 40-60% additional and get free shipping, it’s an exhilarating feeling–it’s really a present to yourself and that’s fun!
