California Nutcracker Ballets 2011
Ballet San Jose (pictured above)
offers one of the most lavish
productions of THE NUTCRACKER. It requires four fog machines and
a total of 400 pounds of dry ice per
performance for the Wondrous
Snowstorm at the end of Act I.
Sixty pounds of flameproof, punched
white confetti is dropped during the
scene. In addition, each year California
is graced with The Great Russian
Nutcracker during its international
tour. Tapping into the talent of ballet
