A wizard's magical book brings to life a forest fairy tale. Fairyland characters rescue a bunny from the bat queen. A Russian Santa Claus, exquisite dancing, gorgeous custom-made costumes and the much beloved Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker makes for an evening of stunning holiday ballet for your family! Fairy Tale makes its appearance on the stage at
Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.
A wizard brings to life a touching
fairy tale full of magic, beauty, and intrigue. On a
snowy evening, the Queen of Bats' kidnapping of a
little bunny disrupts the forest creatures'
Wintertime celebration. With the help of the wizard
and a beautiful rose maiden, the bunny is restored
to its family. Santa, the Snow Maiden and an
enchanting Fairy treat you to the magical finale of
an exquisite celebration that includes joyful
Spanish dancers, bright Chinese dolls, and other
characters from treasured fairy tales who come alive
to help celebrate the bunny's return. A stunning
"Pas de deux: Sugar Plum Fairy and a Cavalier"
performed by guest dancers, principals of the San Jose Ballet Company, as well
as the beloved "Waltz of the Flowers" from the "Nutcracker" help make this
evening magically special. With spectacular costumes, special effects, and
technical precision of movement set to the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky and
Rimsky-Korsakov, this is a superb holiday experience for all ages in the world
famous Russian Ballet style!

Academy, an academy founded by Inna Bayer, in 2010
the The Bayer Ballet Company (BBC) was launched to provide serious, pre-professional performance opportunities for young dancers and a showcase for their unique blend of classical and character dance.
The company's founder received "Choreographer of the Year" by the
American Dance Awards. A seasoned professional
ballet mistress with extensive teaching experience
in Russia, Ukraine, Israel and the U.S., Bayer
graduated Cum Laude from the State Academy of
Choreography and Dance in Voronezh, Russia. She has
performed as a soloist with Kiev Classical Ballet
Theater (Ukraine), and Bat-Dor Dance Theater in Tel
Aviv (Israel). During her artistic career, Inna toured in France, Spain, Germany
and Poland as a principle dancer.
Ramon Moreno - Ballet Master. Ramon
Moreno is a native of Pina Del Rio, Cuba, and
Principal Dancer of Ballet San Jose. Competing
worldwide in Cuba, Peru, Brazil, Finland and the
United States, he has been awarded seven medals
including four gold. His vast repertoire includes
Apollo, Carmen, Who Cares?, Flower Festival,
Giselle, Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Don Quixote,
Swan Lake and Involucion. As a guest artist with San
Jose Cleveland Ballet in 1998, his performance in
Involucion was named one of the "ten best dance
events" in the California Bay Area.
Ramon has also
been a member of the faculty for Ballet San Jose
School's Summer Dance Program. He has performed with
the Classical Ballet of Havana, toured
internationally and appeared as a guest artist with
the Cuballet of Pittsburgh.
Yulia Terekhova - Gymnastics, Stretching,
Pre-Acrobatic. Yulia has a masters degree in rythmic
gymnastics, has many awards, and has taught in Tver,
Russia.
Christie Revel & Christina Wood are
Pre-Ballet instructors.
