Peace and Puppets Tour features Dove of Peace character was created by 2 dancers moving as one bird and the company's whimsical use of puppets of all sizes to represent the 5 major heritages of the world. Inspired by Bolshoi Ballet Principal danseur Stanislov Vlasov, who was choreographer/balletmaster of Moscow Ballet's inaugural 1993 Great Russian Nutcracker, along with partner Lilia Sabitova, who was honored as People's Artist of Russia, The Dove of Peace leads heroine Masha and her Nutcracker Prince into the Land of Peace and Harmony (Land of Sweets). Lavish hand-sewn costumes were created in one of the oldest costume shops in Russia and designed by Arthur Oliver.
