NUTCRACKER Returns to the Stage as Black Diamond Ballet, Pittsburg's professional dance company, returns to the stage with the magic of the Nutcracker this holiday season! Join us as we brighten the stage this December for the full-length traditional performance of the holiday tale. Follow Clara on this magical adventure through the land of the snow and sweets! ​ Performances this year will be held at the El Campanil Theatre in Antioch.

Artistic Director and choreographer is Sharon Sobel Idul, a Pittsburg native and graduate of Pittsburg High School and CSU-Long Beach, is excited to present the annual holiday celebration, The Nutcracker. Idul, who owns Pittsburg Performing Arts Academy in Old Town Pittsburg, has compiled an all-star cast of more than 40 Bay Area-trained student dancers and community performers.

The non-profit ballet company Black Diamond Ballet Theatre in East Contra Costa County involves the entire community and region in this lavish and exciting production, now in its fourth consecutive year. The production is Idul's way of giving back to the community by introducing the joy of the seasonal favorite, The Nutcracker, to local audiences.    Don't miss the magic of this holiday tradition that also supports your local artistic community.
