Celebrating California’s Carrot Culture

HOLTVILLE, CALIFORNIA — You can almost taste the freshly-baked carrot cake, a favorite at the Carrot Festival Cookery Contest during Holtville Carrot Festival Feb.6-12, 2017. In addition to festival floats decorated in carrot themes on Saturday, there’s a Carrot Run, midway carnival, arts & crafts festival and live entertainment with headliner Tim Hurley & Coastal Country.

Never been to The Carrot Capital of the World? If there’s a time to visit, this is it! Located in Imperial County 10 miles from Mexicali, Mexico (as the crow flies,) daytime temperatures during the fest are expected to range between 72 and 84 degrees.
