Starting on High Notes: California’s Beautiful Outdoor Concerts

Californians are getting fired up for the summer, outdoor concert season. Some concerts are already in full swing. Here are a few high notes in the 2017 season filled with incredible music!

  • Scofield’s Cowboy Campfire in Fiddletown (top right) features the Old West Trio, Sourdough Slim and Dave Stamey on stage this summer.
  • Sacramento’s Concerts in the Park (bottom right) at Cesar Chavez Park are happening on Friday nights. Get going — they’ve already started!
  • Catalina Island’s Avalon Summer Concerts (bottom center) on Wrigley Stage have begun.
  • Santa Cruz free Summer Beach Concerts  (left photo) include Eddie Money, Blue Oyster Cult and Gin Blossoms.
  • Napa Concert in the Vineyards (top-center) or Napa City Nights offer “notes” to both wine and music lovers.
  • Concert in the Rocks (top left) in the magnificent Lone Ranger Canyon of the Alabama Hills still has a few tickets left for the June concert featuring Six String Society.
  • Pismo Beach’s Pacific Breeze Concerts at the Caves include an ocean setting, ideal for the Mother’s Day free concert.
  • San Francisco’s Stern Grove Free Summer Concerts kick off with The Big Picnic on June 25, 2017 and Kool & the Gang.
  • Laguna Beach’s Sunset Serenades at Rockpile Amphitheater overlooking the beach are on right now!
