Many are too young to know about a time when newspapers, TV and film were strictly black & white. It’s hard to say if California’s immersive color festivals (where you drench your hair, clothes and skin in colored powders,) would have become a craze without the advent of digital technologies to instantly share brilliantly-colored videos and selfies with social networks.
Another colorful craze has been tattoos. One problem for some enthusiasts (as you’ll see at tattoo expos) is they’ve run out of skin to decorate.
Bad break-ups and other issues helped create a burgeoning tattoo removal industry: “I have been dreadfully living with my two arm tattoos over 20 years. My dream has been always to get my tattoos removed off my body.” – comment on Yelp!
If you want to remove a tattoo, laser skin removals usually require 6-20 treatments. The total cost could be as little as $1,000 or as high as $10,000. We don’t know of any tattoo removal festivals in California, as they’re not so much fun and can’t be completed in one weekend.
