Budweiser Clydesdales appear at California Midstate Fair (Paso Robles) through July 31, 2016. They are also scheduled for Orange County Fair appearances August 3-7.

From Alaskan pig races to turkey races, the county fair fascinates kids of all ages with the amazing animal acts and displays ranging from the world’s biggest ox to newborn chicks, duck and piglets (always crowd-pleasers).  It may seem ironic that people go crazy over cute little critters, never thinking twice as they stand in line for devilish, high-calorie dishes containing chicken, beef and ham. The beauty of the county fair is that city folks and their McNugget kids who think food originates in a box can see, hear, smell, touch and taste things for the first time. The fair becomes a family tradition where learning happens in fun, hands-on experiences.

Fairs this week include Lassen County Fair, Sonoma County Fair, Midstate Fair, Orange County Fair and California State Fair. At all these events you’ll see animals, for sure.
