Artichoke is Now California State Vegetable, No Joke!

California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom said recently that the artichoke is now the official state vegetable of California, a decision that was based on social media votes. California grows 100% of the U.S. artichoke crop, and of course, we celebrate the gourmet food with the Artichoke Festival each year in Castroville.
