Up, Up, Away at Balloon Festivals in CA
Temecula Wine & Balloon Festival is a popular annual event that packs them in this weekend at Lake Skinner Park. The Balloon Glow after sundown on Friday and Saturday nights (weather permitting) is quite special. California’s wine country regions from Southern California to Napa and Sonoma are lucky to have fine weather conducive to hot air balloon rides. If you want a balloon ride in Temecula you should arrange it before or after the festival (it’s like trying to get a gondola ride in Naples, Calif. the night of the Naples Boat Parade. ) Here are some companies offering rides.
If you’re looking for a hot air balloon festival with more opportunities to ride, the annual Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic does offer tether rides, or sponsorship opportunities that include full-on rides.
