Beer is Here
Is it the weekend yet? The beer festivals are beginning to fill the weekend roster just like they used to last summer. The number of beer fests seems to grow annually and we can’t say if it’s a permanent trend in which beer events will outnumber wine festivals but it is starting look quite possible. This weekend we found five beer festivals in California — Indio, Sacramento, Salinas, San Luis Obispo and San Jose — to tempt your taste buds and for some, get a buzz. Of course you know that you will need a taxi, a ride or designated driver if you plan to overindulge and raise your blood alcohol level beyond safe limits.
Drinking & driving often ends in bad results. In Huntington Beach where there are now more restaurants serving liquor in a concentrated area of Downtown Huntington Beach than anywhere in the state, here is yesterday’s news headline from the Orange County Register: “Huntington Beach police investigate string of weekend crashes involving alcohol and hit-and-runs”.
