Uncensored Ben Franklin at Electric Birthday Celebration

Published on: January 06, 2018

One of the Founding Fathers of the United States, Ben Franklin, was an inventor, printer, author and founder of civic organizations such as University of Pennsylvania. He also fancied women — usually younger, often married, and not always interested in his offers. Wife Deborah Franklin died in Philadelphia in 1774 without her husband being there or even knowing she was ill.

In my history class at Franklin Grade School (named in his honor) Ben was presented as a stodgy, one-dimensional character credited with inventing the lightning rod. Ho-hum.

Get an uncensored taste of this historical figure at Ben Franklin’s Electric Birthday Celebration. On Jan.20, 2018 at International Printing Museum in Carson, Calif. actor Phil Soinski recreates the roll of Ben Franklin in both kid-friendly shows and an adults-only version that brings this colorful character (who also invented bifocals) into focus!
