Along California’s 1,000 miles of big coast, no destination says romance quite like Big Sur. The lush Coastal Range mountains hug the coastline providing vistas along Highway 1 that are absolutely stunning. It isn’t just the perfect spot for whale watching– it also offers the perfect setting for a wine and culinary extravaganza. Now in its 6th year, Big Sur Food and Wine Festival takes place November 6-8, 2014. Over 75 fine wineries come together with approx. 50 top culinary talents for a weekend of pure indulgence. The event includes woodsy tours with tastes, culinary sessions, wine sessions and the re-energized event previously held in hotels but now under a big tent at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. There are many fantastic wine festivals this weekend with more than one adding to the Central Coast repertoire of November wining and dining. We’ll be putting together a list this week. Bon appetit!
