A star fish clings to a rock on Black Point Beach, while a cautious deer watches from the tall, misty grasses that partially hide his position and stature. Sonoma Coast beaches are nature’s wet, wild and beautiful places to explore and for dog-owners it is sheer delight to bring your pet along. Just behind the Sea Ranch hotel and community of  ‘The Sea Ranch’ you will discover incredible Black Point Beach, one of six public access beaches and trails, with some of the most scenic coastline in California. While you may have the misperception that fog and misty weather so prominent along the northern coast  are not conducive to taking photos, the opposite is true. There are few beaches in California featuring so many things to see and photograph! The fog and mist  create an ideal situation for zooming in on flowers, plants, animals and fish, minus harsh shadows. Try it some time.
