California Avocados Butter of the Gods

California must be the closest thing to Heaven on Earth because it is where 86% of the nation’s avocados come from. And for those familiar with the saying that this fruit is the butter of gods (or God’s butter,) you’ll be delighted to know that the 2013 crop is looking fantastic! Last year’s California avocado crop came in at about 460 million pounds, a substantial increase over the prior year, and an even larger crop is anticipated this year.  Celebrate at the Fallbrook Avocado Festival!

Here are just a few avocado attributes:

Rich in vitamins A, B-complex, C, E, H, K and folic acid
