California Keeps Getting Better

Queen Mary in Long Beach offers an excellent example of how California keeps getting better. The historic ship which costs millions to maintain, has become the anchor for entertainment in the harbor. This year’s new CHILL ditched Chinese ice carvers when space was lost to serve the Long Beach cruise port. But in place of fantasy ice carvings, CHILL’S creators delivered an international theme which serves up the largest holiday ice entertainment venue in the U.S., according to them.

An international village is filled with tasty foods from around the globe, beverages for adults, and ice bumper cars, ice tricycles, ice tubing and and ice skating rink for the family to enjoy.

The Queen Mary has become an icon for entertainment in the past several years with concerts, Halloween, Christmas and New Year’s attractions and parties. Annual events such as a Scottish festival draw huge crowds in February, normally an “off” season.

Hundreds of California destinations have put on their thinking caps to deliver fun events.  As we enter 2018, SeeCalifornia.com hopes to catch as many of those great innovations and point them in your direction. The website is produced essentially by one person as a part-time hobby so the task is daunting, but I try.
