California Bluegrass Festivals For Family Fun

CALIFORNIA BLUEGRASS: This year’s bluegrass season launched with two exceptional festivals in Blythe and Redwood City. Things are just heating up as one of California’s best free bluegrass festivals storms into Temecula March 14-16, 2014. From Sebastopol to Cloverdale, Ramona to Agoura Hills, people are listening to original, old-time music Made in America. Bluegrass music isn’t only popular in the South where Europeans living in the Appalachias combined elements of their native Irish, Scotch and Welsh music to create a new sound. In California some of the best bluegrass performers in the world gather to jam regularly, record in studios, and perform live. Here are over 15 bluegrass festivals in California this year with some taking place in the California “hills”.
