The summer is cave and cavern tour season, exciting times for those who love an adventure. While some caves offer easy tours there are a few that challenge you to face your fears. Conquer claustrophobia in THE WOMB, where you dive head first into a narrow rock tunnel and must worm your way out to the other side. Mammoth Cave Expedition and Middle Earth Expedition offer an extreme adventure tour where you must pass through the Middle Earth mostly walking through knee deep, sticky cave clay, navigate passages filled with goo, and dare to conquer The Womb Room. It ranks as one of the most exciting things to see and do when visiting Gold Country.
