  • BRENTWOOD CORN – Do you love fire roasted corn on the cob? At the Brentwood Cornfest July 13-15 you can munch on hot-buttery corn and participate in the Guinness World Record for the Most People Husking Corn at One Time!
  • GILROY GARLIC – At Gilroy Garlic Festival July 27-29, 2012  you might want to try some flame broiled dishes, then stroll and savor the aroma in the air as you taste garlic in every type of recipe imaginable–even garlic ice cream!
  • OXNARD SALSA – In Oxnard at the annual Oxnard Salsa Festival July 28-29, 2012 you can taste salsa, compete for best recipe, and then dance the Salsa dance.
  • COURTLAND PEARS – California crops coming into their season in July also include the beloved Bartlett pear (Courtland is the Bartlett pear capital of the world.)  Courtland Pear Fair July 29, 2012  features the cream of the crop as you watch the Pear Grand Marshal ride in the Pear Festival Parade, then head for the festivities to eat pear dishes and desserts.
  • SANTA PAULA CITRUS – For all things citrus fruits, head to the Citrus Capital of the World for the Annual Citrus Festival held July 20-22, 2012 in Santa Paula.

It’s a big world out there, California! Time to start getting out and eating your fruits and vegetables, one festival at a time.
