There are so many things to see, do, and be thankful for in California this Thanksgiving. Some theme parks and zoos are open, and stores with special Thanksgiving Day hours include: Walmart, K-Mart, JC Penny, Best Buy, Kohl’s, Target, Dickey’s Sporting Good, Sears and Macy’s.
SeeCalifornia.com wants to thank contributor and author Craig MacDonald. He’s written too many stories such as Thanksgiving Stuffed with Meaning to count on our website. Many holiday favorites are available in a book, “Old West Christmas-Tales with a Twist”.

DEC. 8th–Internationally-known artist, Bill Anderson, will draw you an original horse and Pulitzer Prize nominee Craig MacDonald will autograph their best-selling book, “Old West Christmas-Tales With a Twist” from 4-6pm, Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Anderson Art Gallery, 16812 PCH (next to Captain Jacks) in Sunset Beach.
“These amazing, true stories of miners, cowboys, kids, women and recipes will fill you with the Holiday Spirit,” said Mary Cory, Director of the El Dorado County Historical Museum, who published it. Proceeds go to The El Dorado Museums Foundation. More info-email aagcollection@aol.com.
