After the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, Californians look to their very own tradition when the Hollywood Christmas Parade takes to famed Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards on the Sunday following Thanksgiving Day. This year the parade is on November 26, 2017, at 5 p.m., with Dr. Oz serving as Grand Marshal.

Hosts are Laura McKenzie known for her series, TRAVELER, and actor Erik Estrada who most remember from his role as Ponch in the TV series CHiPs. He’s been acting throughout the years and even appeared in an uncredited role as a paramedic in the 2017 CHiPs movie based on the TV show.

The parade includes about a dozen marching band, Debbie Allen’s Nutcracker dance group, floats, pageantry and a handful of mostly soap opera stars riding in fancy or classic cars. The 85th annual parade announced it will broadcast on The CW and other outlets, expecting to air Dec.15 at 8 p.m. and Dec.22 at 3 p.m.
