California Parks First Day Hikes

California State Parks join the nation in the effort to get the public out and about on New Year’s Day participating in First Day Hikes. In California you can see the most spectacular scenery practically in your own backyard. From the desert to the mountains to the sea there are guided hikes on January 1, 2016 offering opportunities for exploring unique environments. From the Pacific Ocean and a sandy beach to towering redwood trees in a magical forest, if the photographs don’t move you bring your camera and snap pictures to remember your incredible first day of the new year!
