There are more than 50 planetariums (or planetaria) in California. Fujitsu Planetarium at De Anza College in Cupertino (left) is the largest school Planetarium west of the Rocky Mountains and one of the most modern Planetariums in the world. In addition to its regularly-scheduled space shows, there are lazer light shows with popular rock music and even a special Halloween spooktacular most years. Upcoming 10 p.m. shows include the music of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, Jimi Hendrix and The Doors, Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lot of Love and Pink Floyd’s The Wall. Even though it’s a college setting, the public can attend!   See: planetarium.deanza.edu
