Whose Open on Christmas Day in California?

While Christmas Day, December 25, is the one day of the year that more businesses are closed in the U.S. than any other day, there’s still plenty to do for those looking to get out and experience life, try out a new “toy” or simply take advantage of time off from work.

Open Christmas Day

Theme parks — some are open and some are not:

Disneyland is open and quite popular on Christmas Day. Get there early.

Universal Studios Hollywood is open Christmas Day with great hours (9 a.m.-10 p.m.) and special holiday flair.

Legoland California in Carlsbad in open on Christmas Day and the ideal spot for youngsters to play if you’re up for an adventure.

SeaWorld San Diego is open on Christmas Day. Hooray!

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia is open Christmas Day!

In the Bay Area Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California’s Great America in Santa Clara and Gilroy Gardens are all closed.

While Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park is closed, nearby dining attractions such as Pirates Dinner Adventure and Medieval Times still feature Christmas Day shows.

California Piers and Beaches Open Every Day. Santa Cruz Boardwalk and Santa Monica Pacific Park both offer rides and fun activities.

Ski Resorts are open and generally at capacity for Christmas holiday revelers.

Desert  attractions such as Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, is open on Christmas, offering holiday dining.
