If you live in Southern California, you could be taking in the Corona del Mar Village Christmas Walk on Dec.3, 2017. The very SoCal affair includes high Santa fashion to urban casual amidst a busy setting along iconic Pacific Coast Highway, also known as California Highway 1 or State Route 1.  Lined with shops and eateries just blocks from the Pacific Ocean in the Newport Beach community, the daytime affair includes shops such as See’s Candy offering samples, a dozen bands lining the thoroughfare, vendors with outdoor tables selling gift items, face painters for kids’ enjoyment, and Santa Claus posing for selfies with sunglass-clad babies and pups.

Not everyone can drop by and see the latest in women’s high-heeled boots (a must-have for the trendy set,) but you’ll be equally happy attending a Christmas walk in your community. We’ve found a few to get you started:

Christmas Walks

ATASCADERO: Holiday Musical Walk Around the Lake.

FELTON: Holiday Tree Walk in the enchanted Redwood forest near Santa Cruz involves a steam train ride to Bear Mountain where guests disembark and stroll through special holiday-decorated trees.

GRASS VALLEY: Cornish Christmas takes part on five Fridays leading up to Christmas. Wear a warm coat, snuggle up with loved ones and enjoy stepping back into old time holidays with chestnuts roasting over an open fire.

SAN DIEGO: South Park Style Holiday Walkabout.

SANTA MONICA: Montana Avenue Holiday Walk.

WINE WALKS: Covina, Fallbrook, San Francisco, Solvang and Willow Glen. Plus Martinez annual Santa Beer Crawl.
