Chuckwagon Cooking at California Cowboy Festival Weekend

SANTA CLARITA, CALIF.–One of the highlights to the Cowboy Festival this weekend in Santa Clarita is chuckwagon cooking. Peach cobbler is a specialty that people line up to taste! The chuckwagon historically served cowboys out on the range, carrying necessary supplies for meals prepared under the open skies.

The weekend Cowboy Festival takes place in Los Angeles County on the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio where famed cowboy flicks have been filmed. Re-enactments of gun battles, special tours of the Ranch and a variety of activities throughout the weekend go from April 19 – 22, 2012. Free parking at the Cowboy Festival Shuttle Site located at 13th and Railroad Ave, Santa Clarita, CA.
