California celebrates Cinco de Mayo like no other state. Events begin this week with the majority of festivals held the first weekend in May as close as possible to the May 5th.

San Diego’s Cinco de Mayo is probably the biggest festival in California (not far from the Mexican border,) but there are also some massive events in Los Angeles and one in Richmond & San Pablo that touts 100,000 attendance. Stockton’s festival at Weber Point says it’s the biggest in the Central Valley.
