COULTERVILLE, CALIF. — Things get a little crazy in Coulterville (foothills of the Sierra Nevadas) when CoyoteFest comes to town. The annual event held in September attracts an interesting, slightly wild crowd. Those who come have a unique hobby — they like to howl. The highlight of CoyoteFest is the Coyote Howl Contest, though there’s plenty to see and do, including a parade, car show, horseshoe tournament, petting zoo and games.
