East of California

There’s a reason a million people leave Chicago, New York City and Minneapolis and move West. Do you notice any difference in the pictures? Last week it was so hot in Central and Southern California that lifeguards were called to the beaches to handle the crowds trying to cool off in the 88 degree heat. They want to inform the beach-visiting public about ocean safety because there have been so many rescues.  Meanwhile back in the Midwest and Eastern states bitter cold from a 4th winter storm in one month has people scrambling between storms to clear food off store shelves, call in the emergency services companies to fix the broken pipes, leaking roofs, and help start the snowed-in cars. Several more Siberian cold fronts and storms are predicted.  Here is a comparison that helps Californians understand why we are seeing license plates on our highways from New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, Kentucky, Georgia and even Vermont where they usually can handle challenging conditions.

Dig this!

  • Chapped, cracked, dry skin products or suntan and sunblock lotions
