This weekend the streets of Chinatown in Los Angeles come alive with festivities such as a big parade celebrating the Lunar New Year on Feb. 21, 2015. The Golden Dragon Parade and Festival provides a full day of entertainment.
Not far away in Alhambra, the San Gabriel Valley rings in the New Year of the Ram with its own brand of fun on Feb. 21. The Chinese American population numbers more than 400,000 in Los Angeles County, with most living in the San Gabriel Valley.
And not to be outdone, in Costa Mesa at the Orange County Fairgrounds the Tet Festival takes place Feb. 20-22, expanding from its old quarters in Westminster and Garden Grove.
San Diego is having a Chinese New Year’s Festival downtown on Feb. 21-22.
