Eat at The Farmer and the Fox

Wow, don’t you just want to reach out and taste the food at this new restaurant that opened in June 2014 in St. Helena? The Farmer & The Fox not only pleases wine lovers visiting Cairdean Estate, it also caught the eye of Michelen Guide editors on the prowl looking for exciting things to howl about for their 2015 edition. Maybe it was the squab tikka masala $32, game pie $15, fried quail and barley stew $17, or lamb tartare $12, that caught a sly fox’s eye, but whatever the magic, The Farmer & The Fox was handsomely rewarded with The Bib Gourmand. In the world of Michelin, this is one of the awards you’d like to get. It’s the bonus for the thought that went into preparing menus offering reasonably-priced gourmet tastes.
