Fantasy Renaissance Faires

The annual Renaissance Faires & Festivals in California are gearing up for another year celebrating history, fantasy and pleasure. Launching the exciting season on April 4, 2015 is a repeat favorite, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale, which lasts a whopping seven weeks! Also in April Fremont, San Jose and Escondido host events where you can wear amazing costumes and play the role of a queen, commoner, pirate, knight or jester. For women, the dresses hide a multitude of sins such as extra weight you’ve put on, while men’s plump bellies get a little breathing room with loose fitting bloomers. Oh, the simple pleasures! Children feel right at home in an environment where adults act like kids.
