SAN DIEGO December 26, 2013 Poinsettia Bowl Pre-game show march bands and Big Bay Balloon Parade

PREVIOUS:  Marching Bands parade through historic Gaslamp Quarter on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 6 p.m., for the Poinsettia Bowl kick off.

Marching bands and spirit squads from San Diego State University (SDSU) and Brigham Young University (BYU) parade from each end of 5th Avenue performing holiday favorites, then meet up at Market Street for a heart-pounding marching band exhibition. After the dust settles at Market Street, bands continue on with their parade of marching tunes. This pre-show to the December 20, 2012 Poinsettia Bowl college football game at Qualcomm Stadium is a nationally recognized event.  poinsettiabowl.com.

On December 27, 2012, the Big Bay Balloon Parade, a harbor-side parade in downtown San Diego, is followed by the Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl, a major college football game at Qualcomm Stadium in Mission Valley featuring UCLA vs. Baylor University.
