Fog Festival Beach Blast

Pacifica is somewhat of a hidden gem of the Bay Area coast — except when it comes to Pacific Coast Fogfest taking place this weekend. The often-foggy city slightly south of San Francisco is a beautiful beach community that you owe it to yourself to visit, especially considering there are beach hotels sitting right next to the Pacific Ocean at Rockaway Beach! This weekend the locals celebrate their natural assets, much like Columbia celebrates its poison oak, or Coulterville its coyotes. At Fogfest there’s a Fog Jog, sand sculpting, fun games, the Marching Band Competition and our favorite, Fog Bank, which involves pictures of the best fog banks. Be sure to see Pacifica’s famous fog this weekend or any time you can!
