Wild Nights and Holiday Lights greet guests this December at Folsom Zoo Sanctuary where the amazing decorations are created by human volunteers! In a world in which people hire someone else to do everything from drive your car to watch your baby, wash your car, your pets and to clean your home, one of the more popular hired hands specializing in holiday lights won’t be needed when the Friends of Folsom Zoo are around. This can-do group invites the public to fill up remaining spots to decorate a tree in the Enchanted Forest this holiday. Decorating dates are Nov. 29 and / or Dec. 1, 2014. Here’s how it works: You supply the lights (LED) and decorations for a tree, and when the event is over you remove them and take them home. Your reward is pride in helping the zoo look nice and raise funds for the animals, their food, health care and other expenses. Animal lovers will find this endeavor a win-win. The public is invited to see the special zoo event held on select nights in December. $5 admission is charged.
