Food festivals abound this weekend. Here are just a few that you may enjoy!

BBQ: 5th Annual Smokin’ on the Water in Lakeport August 23-24, 2013; Golden Acorn Casino BBQ Competition in Campo is August 23-24; San Carlos Grill Off takes places August 24.
Greek this week: Dance, drink and eat August 23-25 — OPA! You can romp and play at Castro Valley or Fresno Greek Festivals.
Italian: head for San Jose Italian-American Family Festa August 24 -25, 2013, iahfsj.org
Jewish: Head for Jewish Food Festival in Carmel on August 25.
Lobster: Dana Point Lobster Festival at Doheny State Beach is August 24
Wine: Bodega & Pinole both have Wine Festivals this weekend.
Fairs: Ferndale, Lancaster and Cedarville are having them this weekend–lots of food!
Miscellaneous foods: Plum Festival in Huntington Beach; Olive Festival in Corning
