LOS ANGELES: Are you an anime geek? Then you have your ticket for the SOLD OUT L.A. Anime Convention this weekend. The only way to get in is to volunteer.
SANTA CRUZ: Are you a mycogeek? Then you better be at the Santa Cruz Fungus Festival this weekend Jan 10-12, 2014, fungusfed.org
FRESNO: Are you an ice geek? This weekend dozens of ice rinks will shut down after Sunday, but Fresno Ice Rink isn’t one of them. It closes on Jan. 20, 2014. You still have a week to check it out.
SAN JOSE: Are you a car geek? Silicon Valley Auto Show goes through Jan. 12, 2014 at the Convention Center. There are usually some test drive models on the floor.
