There’s more than one type of daffodil on Daffodil Hill in Volcano (left photo). Though you may not see all the varieties shown, you can buy them online from places such as Classic Daffodils. Pictured clockwise from bottom left (in photo panel) are: Sorbet, Ombersley, Cowboy, Kiwi Solstice, Kiwi Happy Prince, Shykoski, Badbury Rings, White Ideal and center – Fragrant Rose daffodil.

It’s nearly time for those happy yellow flowers to spring forth, unveiling their colorful blossoms and providing a reason for you to smile. Daffodils are often associated with Easter (which falls on April 20, 2014.) However, the daffodils are expected to be in bloom at least a month earlier! Among the annual delights are Daffodil festivals and shows in places scattered far and wide throughout the state such as:
Corona del Mar
Julian
Point Arena
Volcano (Daffodil Hill)
Woodside (Filoli Gardens)
Paradise
Livermore
Murphys
