Groovin’ on Bluegrass

Published on: March 07, 2019

Pictured is Rhonda Vincent at the world’s largest bluegrass jam at a Huck Finn Jubilee in California. Vincent and her band, The Rage, were awarded their first Grammy in 2018 for “All The Rage – In Concert Volume One.” The Missouri-born and bred bluegrass artist has been singing and performing since she was practically a toddler.

While California is not considered the epicenter of bluegrass, we certainly have an active community and roster of events to enjoy throughout the year. The season kicks off with Blythe Bluegrass Festival in January but shifts into high gear in the spring with events such as Sonoma County Bluegrass Festival this weekend. It has been moved to Sebastopol’s Analy High School due to recent flooding.

If you’d like to catch some lively, “made in America” music, here are a few to catch!
