Picture: Wicked Lit, a haunting play that takes place each Halloween in a Mausoleum
I’ve never shared this story because I’m pretty sure no one would believe me but it really happened. One night I and several other students were sitting on the ground next to some interesting grave stones, telling ghost stories in a cemetery on the campus of William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. It’s one of the things you do in a small town where there’s not much going on. As we sat there, something from beneath the ground stabbed (or poked) my hand which I was holding some of my weight on. It hurt! I don’t know what it was or why it happened but I jumped up and have never trusted sitting in cemeteries since then.
However, I, like many Californians, do enjoy cemetery & grave tours, ghost tours, and speculating about the afterlife. Here are a few events that the Halloween season brings!
