Hot Air Balloon and Kite Festival

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE SKIES THIS WEEKEND! Ripon, California is hosting its annual Color the Skies Festival featuring a hot air balloon and kite show August 30-31, 2014. Daily balloon inflation, ascension, a kite show and kite candy drop along with dozens of ground-based activities and entertainment make this popular event the toast of the Central Valley. Though there won’t be any actual hot air balloon rides during the festival, there will be tethered rides. Ripon is located between Stockton and Modesto off Highway 99, slightly more than a one-hour drive from Sacramento, San Francisco and San Jose. For actual hot air balloon rides, here are are few places you can experience the incredible sights, sounds and sensations of soaring!
