1. Imagine wandering around the back lot at Paramount Pictures Studios (left photo). That’s the setting for THE TASTE, produced by L.A. Times. This isn’t just any food festival. It includes all the finest chefs and dishes that the newspaper writes about. It’s the Who’s Who of the Culinary World, a must-attend event. Is it cheap? No. Each dining event begins at around $100 — worth every penny!
2. In Orange, Calif. the extremely popular and well-attended International Street Fair (middle photo) features 15 blocks of culinary tastes, each representing a different country or food theme. While admission is free, some streets may charge a fee. Each street is operated by a non-profit with all proceeds benefiting that group directly.
3. Last but not least is San Jose’s Moveable Feast, the first Electronic Sriracha Festival (right photo). The finest food trucks and electronic music come together for a spicy weekend (Sriracha is a hot sauce made from chili peppers.) Admission is $20-30.
