January Restaurant Month for Post-Holiday Feasts
It’s been a long time since I’ve dined and stayed at the Lido Restaurant in Shell Beach (near Pismo Beach) but I still fondly recall the food–it was fantastic! The ocean-view restaurant is one of approx. 40 participants in San Luis Obispo County’s Restaurant Month deals coming up in the month of January. Many cities throughout the state participate in this annual event–San Francisco and San Diego are two that come to mind.
From Italian to seafood, steaks to chops, the event features hundreds of 3-course meal deals for around $30. If you do the math, some of the restaurants will be offering not only big savings, but allowing you to sample great cuisine you might not have the opportunity to taste otherwise. Splash Cafe in Pismo, Alex Madonna’s Gold Rush Steakhouse in SLO, Giuseppe’s (my family’s favorite,) Estrella in Paso, Robin’s in Cambria, and Windows on the Water in Morro, are just a few options for this culinary hot ticket event.
