What are you doing for Ice Cream month, a July annual tradition? Have you eaten your fair share of ice cream? California is the top maker of ice cream in the U.S. and that’s because our cows produce the most milk of any state..  There are ice cream socials planned in cities such as Ferndale, Oakdale, Rocklin and Yorkville, and even ice cream socials for pets in Carson, Newport Beach and other cities.

ICE CREAM FACTS & TRIVIA:

  • 12 lbs. of milk are used to make just one gallon of California ice cream.
  • Americans consume 48 pints of ice cream per person, per year– more than any other country!
  •  California produces over 136.5 million gallons in one year.
