Hollywood Bowl hosts the famed Playboy Jazz Festival each year in June.

Religious and gospel, bluegrass and blues are a few of the musical genres featured in California’s June music fests. In addition to the thousands of free summer concerts in parks there are thousands more tunes performed in concert venues and a few of them are actually no charge events.

It’s time to get movin’ and groovin’ to the beat but first get your tickets so you don’t miss out!

• NEWPORT BEACH: Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Jazz Festival May 31-June 2, 2019 features acts such as Poncho Sanchez,  David Benoit & Marc Antoine, Lao Tizer Band,  George Benson, Jeffrey Osborne and Naje.
• REDDING: Reggae Fest June 1 at the Sundial Bridge area near the Sacramento River features Indie and Reggae bands and  Beer and Wine Garden.
• THOUSAND OAKS: OakHeart Country Music Festival June 1 is kickin country in Conejo Creek South Park.
  IRVINE: Fish Fest Music Festival at Five Point Amphitheater features popular Christian music acts such as Toby Mac.
• VALLEY CENTER: VC Music Festival June 1 at Bates Nut Farm brings back  The Detroit Underground
• MONROVIA: Music Festival June 2 in Library Park is produced by two music-loving women  who bring this event to the public free.
• FELTON: Redwood Mountain Faire June 1-2 at Roaring Camp Railroads has names fans recognized such as The Dustbowl Revival and locally famous Banana Slug String Band.
  GARBERVILLE: Summer Music and Arts Festival June 1-2 at Benbow State Recreation Area includes Andre Thierry & Accordion Soul and lots of acts on the sunny, southern banks of the beautiful Eel River.
• TEMECULA: Balloon & Wine Festival May 31-June at Lake Skinner County Park kicks up the dust with Dishwalla, Shannon Rae & 100 Proof, Kanan Road, Chase Bryant and bands you can dance to.
  BERKELEY: World Music Festival June 1-2 at Telegraph Ave. & Haste features continuous music outdoors and in cafes and shops.
