
BBQ is bigger and better than ever, especially at the annual Long Beach BBQ Festival where more than 10,000 happy guests at the “BBQ love-fest”, consume 12,000 pounds of mouth-watering ribs and 2,000 pounds of BBQ–ranging from chicken and Tri Tip to pork and beef. The incredible food fair Aug. 22-24, 2014, featuring award-winning BBQ teams from Texas, Georgia and elsewhere, caters to all ages at the family-friendly extravaganza created by the legendary master of special events, Roy Hassett of O Entertainment. His company produces a number of fabulous events, including the Crawfish Festival, where 10 tons of crawfish are consumed.
LOBSTER Festival September 5-7, 2014 features the World’s Largest Lobster Kettles. Hassett’s proprietary cooking system assures that every lobster is steamed correctly, never boiled or overcooked.
ZOMBIES arrive October 24-26 for the Long Beach Zombie Festival (zombiewalklb.com) at Rainbow Lagoon, which will feature Dr. Demento, a Zombie Walk, outdoor horror films, Zombie bands and even a Little Zombies Day. Read more…>
